Terms of service

Buying from this shop means accepting what follows. If something here does not suit you, write to contact@horizonmeadow.site before the purchase rather than after it.

What you are buying

A licence to read. Each guide is a PDF published under the Thornwood Press imprint, and the purchase carries a personal, non-transferable right to download it, keep it on devices you own and print it for your own use. Copyright does not change hands.

What the licence does not stretch to

Uploading a guide to a file-sharing site, selling or giving the file away, reprinting it inside a course or a newsletter, or feeding the text to a machine-learning model. One copy, one reader. For copies across a team or a classroom, ask us: there is a licence that permits it and we will quote for one.

This is not financial advice

The guides are educational reading. They set out how accounts, instruments and obligations are built; they take no account of your circumstances and they are not financial, legal, tax or investment advice. Nobody writing for Thornwood Press, and nobody at Horizon Meadow, is acting as your adviser. Decisions about your own money remain yours, and where the sums matter the sensible step is advice from someone licensed where you live who knows your situation.

Accuracy

We write carefully and check our figures, but rules move and jurisdictions differ. Treat any number, threshold or date in a guide as correct when written, and confirm it against the current source before relying on it.

Money

Everything here is priced in US dollars, and a price can change without notice; whatever the checkout displayed is what governs your order. Tax, where it falls due, is added at that point and visible before the order is confirmed.

Use of the shop

We may close access for anyone redistributing files, probing the checkout, or using the shop to harass us or another reader.

Liability

We remain liable for whatever the law does not permit us to exclude. Beyond that, whatever claim arises out of a purchase, our liability stops at the sum that purchase cost.

Governing law

California law governs this agreement, and any dispute arising from it belongs before the courts sitting in Los Angeles County.
